Careless driving and commercial vehicle-related charges have been laid in connection to last week's collision involving a tractor-trailer and a commercial truck at the junction of Highways 17 and 101.
Superior East Ontario Provincial Police say the commercial truck was turning onto Highway 17 from 101 when it collided with the transport truck shortly before 8 o'clock last Thursday morning - both drivers suffered minor injuries, while Highway 17 was fully or partially closed on-and-off for a few hours after the collision.
The commercial truck's driver has been charged with careless driving as well as possessing more than one daily log for the commercial vehicle, and entering inaccurate or false information in a daily log.
