d.j. HUFF-morning show host
D.J. Huff was born and raised in the heart of Oil Country: Edmonton, AB
Since a young music student, he always wanted to work in radio and the vocal entertainment industry, having applied (unsuccessfully) into multiple radio and vocal programs over several years.
In 2012, he left Alberta and traveled to Ontario where he lived in a few towns and cities over several years before settling in Wawa in 2016. Not long after moving in, Rick Labbe offered him a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity which would allow him to take on the role of the Morning Show Host on Wawa’s very own JJAM FM radio station.
As a hobbyist, D.J. has lent his voice to small independent voice projects, podcasts and internet radio stations over the years. Since hosting the morning show at JJAM FM, he’s been committed to bringing a new flavour to the mornings of Wawa and Chapleau.. and now the world! He can also be seen working at the local Valu-Mart.
Likes: Unique musical projects, H.P. Lovecraft, tabletop games, craft beer, symphonic video game OSTs, reading dystopian fiction, coffee. Dislikes: Johann Pachelbel, SoundCloud rappers, burnt coffee

Rick Nelson’s broadcasting career spans 40 years having worked in Ontario radio markets including Toronto, Ottawa, Kingston, North Bay and Sudbury. Most of those postings were for Top 40/Classic Rock/Oldies shows but reading the news was a job requirement when necessary which has come in handy for Wawa. He’s a major history buff, news & political junkie. Rick grew up in Prince Edward County and studied radio/television/journalism at Loyalist College in Belleville during the mid 1970’s. A father of two grown up daughters, he has lived in Northern Ontario for several years with a camp on Manitoulin Island.
