A team of Wawa students have taken home a medal for their cardboard boat skills.

The École secondaire Saint-Joseph team made a boat which navigated 25 metres in 21.53 seconds while carrying a load of 247 kilograms - enough to claim bronze at the recent North-Western Cardboard Boat Race Competition in Thunder Bay, earning a spot in the provincial competition being held in Waterloo in March.

The team's made up of Spencer Terris, Nicolas Lafrenière, Raelyn Scott, and Wesley Stewart.
