As the holidays approach, Wawa's branch of the Canadian Red Cross is opening up its doors for the public to come in and say hello.
While Senior Services Coordinator Darlene Trovarello notes the annual holiday open house is a chance to get together with clients and volunteers - playing games, enjoying treats, and giving away prizes - she adds it's a great opportunity to learn more about the many programs offered by the local Red Cross, particularly if you're interested in volunteering.
Trovarello notes there are 25 Red Cross volunteers in this community.
The holiday open house runs from 11 to 2 today.
