Chapleau Man Charged With Sharing Intimate Image Without Consent

A Chapleau man's been charged with sharing an intimate image without consent.

Superior East Ontario Provincial Police say they responded to a domestic dispute in Chapleau around 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, with an investigation into the dispute leading to the arrest of the 36-year-old Chapleau man on charges of distribute intimate image without consent and fail to comply with conditions of undertaking given by officer in charge.

He's been released from custody, scheduled to appear at Chapleau's Ontario Court of Justice in June.

OPP are not releasing the accused man's name, in order to protect the victim's identity.

Superior East OPP also emphasize victims in abusive relationships are not alone and there are local resources to help, referring to Wawa and Area Victim Services and CHADWIC Home for more information.
