Chapleau Council's confirmed the appointment of a key employee.
During their meeting earlier this week Council approved the appointment of Alvin Brown as the new Building Inspector, By-Law Officer, and Property Standards Officer - a combined role he started last week.
Mayor Michael Levesque previously noted it was necessary to combine the jobs.
Like Chapleau, Wawa has combined the two roles, with an "Assistant Director of Protective Services", described as "encompass[ing] the joint responsibilities of Fire Chief, Chief Building Official, and By-Law Enforcement".
