SE OPP Arrest Wawa Resident on Sexual Assault and Other Charges

A Wawa resident's facing sexual assault and other charges over an incident on Monday.
Superior East Ontario Provincial Police say they responded to a reported of a sexual assault on December 30th, with investigation leading to the arrest of a 52-year-old from Wawa on charges of sexual assault, sexual exploitation, and criminal harassment.
The accused has been remanded into custody, pending a bail hearing.
OPP are not releasing the accused's name, as a measure to protect the victim's identity.
Police emphasize victims in abusive relationships are not alone and there are local resources to help, such as Wawa and Area Victim Services and CHADWIC Home.
