Public Health Sudbury and Districts has confirmed its third COVID-19-related death.
The health unit says a resident of the Amberwood Suites retirement home in Greater Sudbury died in hospital - they're providing no further information, except that the case was linked to an outbreak at the retirement home.
The health unit's also reported three more cases in Greater Sudbury for a total of 383, 73 "active".
Meanwhile, Algoma Public Health's reporting seven more cases in Central and East Algoma and another in the Elliot Lake area - most from close contact with a known case, the rest unknown right now - bringing it to 136, 31 active - including one in hospital - with one "non-resident case" currently in the region.
The health unit's also declared the end of outbreaks at Sault Ste. Marie's Great Northern Retirement Home and Extendicare Maple View.
For the Thunder Bay District Health Unit, four new cases have been confirmed in the Thunder Bay area and four in unspecified "district communities" - two linked to an outbreak at the Thunder Bay District Jail, one from travel outside northwestern Ontario - bringing it to 705, including 80 "active", three in hospital, two in the ICU.
The Porcupine Health Unit currently has 23 "active".
