LDHC Reminding of Restrictions Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

Wawa's hospital is reminding of a few restrictions amid the COVID-19 pandemic - but emphasizing it's still here if needed.

Lady Dunn Health Centre CEO Kadean Ogilvie says anyone who needs emergency services is encouraged to come to the hospital, though they prefer they're unaccompanied.

Ogilvie notes Laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging services are still available, if needed.

Ogilvie notes visits are currently not allowed for Acute Care patients, while visits to Long-Term Care patients are limited to the "designated caregiver" - per provincial regulations - but she reminds those who go to the hospital will be screened.

Ogilvie adds the hospital recognizes Long-Term Care residents thrive with support from family and friends, and it will try to facilitate "virtual visits".
