Chapleau's Boil Water Advisory Lifted

Chapleau's boil water advisory has been lifted.

The Township says two mandatory water samples - taken after the "adverse" test result prompted the advisory - have been tested and found to meet Ontario Drinking Water Standards, so the advisory issued Wednesday has been lifted.

Chapleau Council's also reminding citizens to be prepared to take care of yourself and your family for a minimum of 72 hours - for more information, visit chapleau.ca.

Public Health Sudbury and Districts does recommend running cold water faucets and drinking fountains for five minutes or until the water runs clear, running water softeners through a regeneration cycle, draining and refilling hot water heaters, and - to get rid of sediment - removed faucet screens and rinsing them before putting them back in place.
