Chapleau's Centre Culturel Louis Hemon is getting some federal support.
The federal government's announced $1.37-million for 27 organizations across Northern Ontario to help preserve the French language, defend their rights, and preserve the ability to live in their language of choice - that includes the Chapleau group, which is receiving $42,200 for 2020-21, an increase of more than a third from funding received for 2018-19.
