More COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in the region.
Algoma Public Health's added 51 new cases in the Sault Ste. Marie area, seven in Central and East Algoma, and two in the Elliot Lake area, leaving it with 415 "active" - plus two "non-resident cases temporarily in Algoma" - with fourteen local cases in hospital, five in ICUs.
The neighbouring Thunder Bay District Health Unit's added 79 - 64 in the Thunder Bay area since Wednesday, plus twelve in unspecified First Nation communities and three in unspecified district communities - leaving it with 166 "active", 29 in hospital, six in ICUs.
The Porcupine Health Unit's added 22 - fourteen in the James and Hudson Bay region, four in the Cochrane, Matheson, Iroquois Falls, and Smooth Rock Falls area, two in the Kapuskasing, Opasatika, Val Rita-Harty, Moonbeam, and Fauquier-Strickland area, and two in the Timmins area - leaving it with 276 "active", ten in hospital, two in ICUs.
