Another COVID-19 death's been confirmed in the region.
Algoma Public Health reported its 41st death from the illness on Friday - three days after its 40th - though it gave no further details.
It also reported 37 new cases in the Sault Ste. Marie area, five in the Elliot Lake area, two in Central and East Algoma, and two in North Algoma - which includes Wawa, Dubreuilville, White River, and the Michipicoten and Missinabie Cree First Nations - leaving it with 378 known "active" cases - plus two "non-resident cases temporarily in Algoma" - with sixteen cases in hospital, two in ICUs.
Meanwhile, Public Health Sudbury and Districts added 88 new cases in Greater Sudbury, twelve in the Sudbury District, and seven in the Manitoulin District, leaving it with 331 "active" - including fourteen in the northern Sudbury District, which includes Chapleau, Cartier, Foleyet, Gogama, and neighbouring First Nations - while 54 cases are in hospital, one in an ICU.
