Algoma Public Health's reporting rising COVID-19 cases in the region.
The health unit's added 61 in the Sault Ste. Marie area, eight in Central and East Algoma, three in the Elliot Lake area, and four in North Algoma - which includes Wawa, Dubreuilville, White River, and the Michipicoten and Missinabie Cree First Nations - leaving it with 401 known "active" cases - plus four "non-resident cases temporarily in Algoma" - with sixteen local cases in hospital, four in ICUs.
"Walk-in" vaccination clinics are being held at Wawa's Michipicoten Memorial Community Centre from 10 am to 1 pm today and at Dubreuilville's Eddy K. Lefrancois Recreation Centre tomorrow, from 1 pm to 3 pm, while an "appointment only" clinic will be held for five to eleven year-olds through White River's Northern Neighbours Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic tomorrow.
Public Health Sudbury and Districts is holding an "appointment only" vaccination clinic at its Chapleau office tomorrow.
