Wawa's firefighters and local school staff will be out in the community this weekend, to raise support for an annual tradition helping the needy in the community.
Fire Chief Kevin Sabourin explains the Wawa Volunteer Fire Department's teaming up with staff from St. Augustine French Immersion Catholic School for the annual Christmas Hamper Holiday Food Drive.
Christmas Hamper Fund President Richard Watson reminds the hampers offer a few items to brighten the season for the less fortunate in the community.
The food drive runs from 10 am to 1 pm Sunday.
The firefighters will also team up with the OPP and local paramedics for the "Fill A Sleigh" toy drive at Wawa's Red Apple store the following Saturday, December 9th, from 11 am to 2 pm.
