Chapleau's officially welcomed a new fire chief.
Two weeks after indicating progress in the process, Mayor Ryan Bignucolo says that's come to a conclusion Monday, with some good news.
Mayor Bignucolo says outgoing Chief Ken Groves is still with the fire department, and expects a dinner honouring him "in the near future" - Groves was appointed to the role in November 2017.
