A local mine's reaching out to the public over the next few days.
Alamos Gold is holding a pair of "State of the District" meetings regarding its Island Gold District operations near Dubreuilville, with the "Q1 2026 public mine update" including MECP ERO permit corrections and exploration permit to take water presentation, background information about airstrip consideration, and follow-up on the production expansion announcement.
The first will be held at the Dubreuilville Town Hall - downstairs - from 6 pm to 8 pm tonight, with another at the Wawa Legion Hall from 6 pm to 8 pm Thursday night.
