Wawa women are marking International Women's Day with a special event today.
CHADWIC Home Executive Director Paula Valois explains the event will be "fun and interactive", including a light lunch and information booths from local service providers - all focusing on the theme of "Press for Change".
Valois says one hope from the event is that women understand there is still "a long way to go towards achieving equality"
All women are invited to today's event, which runs from 11 to 2 in the Community Centre Banquet Room.
Valois notes the community bus is available for any women who need transportation to attend, with CHADWIC Home covering that cost.
