White River's kicking off festivities for its annual Winnie's Hometown Festival today.
Festival Coordinator Devan Lavallee explains the 30th annual event has a theme of "Flashback on Winnipeg Street", looking back at the history of the important street.
Lavallee notes events begin today - with the Mixed Horseshoe Tournament at the Senior's Harmony Club this afternoon - while Wawa's own award-winning comedian, Pete Zedlacher, will perform at the White River Legion tonight.
Events continue with the Green Gables Street Party starting at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, the Shirt Tail Parade at 5 Friday night, and more through the weekend.
Kids weekend passes are available at the Township, though adult will need to pay at the door for some events.
