Wawa Municipal Council's meeting earlier than expected.
Council's called a special meeting for noon tomorrow, to deal with three related items: a resolution to waive the municipality's tendering policy, which would allow Council to pass a resolution accepting KPMG's quotation for a municipal service review, then pass a third resolution to submit a funding application for that review, under the provincial government's "Municipal Modernization Program".
Chapleau Council approved a similar application last week, though their review's expected to focus more on energy use.
Tomorrow's meeting will be open to the public, starting at noon in Council Chambers.
