Chapleau's starting preparations for the annual winter carnival.
Noting Council last week reviewed a proposed budget and list of events recommended by the Township's Director of Leisure and Cultural Services, Rejean Raymond, Mayor Michael Levesque notes a public consultation's being held tonight.
Levesque notes some of the plans include a magician for the kids, dog sled rides, face painting, snow sculpturing, and men's and women's hockey tournaments.
Tonight's open house on the Taste of the North Winter Carnival starts at 7 o'clock in Council Chambers.
