Chapleau Town Council to Hold Regular Meeting

Chapleau Town Council's set to tackle several topics tonight.

Included on the agenda for their regular meeting this evening is a delegation from the Chapleau Regional Development Corporation, which is set to make a presentation to Council - the CRDC organized last month's first ever Gold Rush Nationals Drag Race, though Council earlier this month raised questions about "cost overruns" in the Township's in-kind contribution to the event - no decision was made on the issue at the last meeting.

Also on the agenda is a CAO report on a request for disposition of surplus land at 28 Queen Street, and resolutions: on the Cemetery Tree Removal Tender; to approve the Economic Development Work Plan prepared for the Township by Dan Friyia; and to approve the Director of Leisure and Cultural Services' recommendation regarding operation of the canteen.

There's also a single "in-camera" item, relating to "personal matters about an identifiable individual".

Aside from the "in-camera" portion, tonight's meeting is open to the public, starting at 6:30 in Civic Centre Council Chambers.
