The Municipality of Wawa's unveiled a proposed new logo for the Wawa Lake waterfront.
Assistant Director of Community Services and Tourism Brian Lachine explains there are two major factors reflected in the logo, the first being a big initiative among destination marketing marketing organizations: the Group of Seven.
Lachine adds that the logo is meant for tourism purposes, so it needed to emphasize what it's advertising.
Lachine notes he's already received lots of feedback - and more comments are being accepted - with plans to officially present the logo and the rest of the Wawa Waterfront Boreal Gateway Project signage to Council October 1st.
