Algoma Reports 62nd COVID-19 Case While Outbreak Declared at Marathon School

Algoma Public Health's confirmed its 62nd case.

Like most of Algoma's cases, it's in the Sault Ste. Marie area - it's unknown how the person contracted the coronavirus.

This leaves the health unit with two "active" cases.

Meanwhile, the Thunder Bay District Health Unit and the Superior North Catholic District School Board have confirmed an outbreak at Marathon's Holy Saviour Catholic School, while the Marathon Family Health Team's confirmed four cases in the last day - that brings the town's total so far to sixteen, all reported in the last eighteen days.

Twelve more cases have been confirmed in Thunder Bay, bringing the health unit's total to 422, 128 of which are "active", including one in a hospital I-C-U.

Public Health Sudbury and Districts has seven "active", the Porcupine Health Unit four.
