White River Woman Charged in Traffic Stop

A White River woman's facing a pair of charges after a traffic stop.

Superior East OPP say officers stopped an SUV on Elgin Street early Thursday morning, and - after speaking with the driver - demanded a breath sample for an Approved Screening Device, though the driver refused.

Further investigation led to the 24-year-old's arrest on charges of failure or refusal to comply with demand and Class G1 licence holder unaccompanied by qualified driver.

She's been released from custody, with a January court date.
