WMC to Vote on Budget, Discuss Other Items in Back-to-Back Meetings

Wawa Municipal Council's set to vote on its proposed multi-year budget as it holds a pair of meetings tonight.

First up is a Corporate Planning Committee meeting, including a presentation from Johanna Rowe of the Wawa Heritage Committee, plus discussion about handicap parking, multi-year budgets, and the vesting of properties.

That'll be followed by a regular meeting, which includes resolutions to extend ice season, approve waiver of facility rental fee for the Wawa ice Fishing Derby, and accept a resignation from the Drag Race Commitee, as well as budget-related by-laws and other by-laws appointing a "weed inspector" and approving the use of internet and telephone voting for this year's municipal and school board elections.

There's also an "in-camera" item: a legal issue relating to the sale of property.

Once again open for the public to attend in person - if masked - the meetings will be held back-to-back, starting at 6:30 pm tonight.
