More COVID-19 deaths have been confirmed in the region.
The latest figures from Public Health Sudbury and Districts show two more deaths in Greater Sudbury, bringing the health unit's COVID-related death toll to 121 - these latest two are noted to be cases in which COVID-19 contributed to but was not the underlying cause of death.
It's also reporting 68 new cases in Greater Sudbury plus eleven in the Sudbury District and five in the Manitoulin District, leaving it with 335 known "active" cases, 50 in hospital, two in ICUs.
The health unit is holding an "appointment only" vaccination clinic at its Chapleau office today.
Meanwhile, Algoma Public Health's added 31 new cases in the Sault Ste. Marie area, three in Central and East Algoma, and two in the Elliot Lake area, leaving it with 371 "active", fifteen in hospital, five in ICUs.
