The Wawa Goose is sporting a temporary new look as part of a special charity campaign.
A special event on Tuesday showed off the local monument's modifications, making it look like a keychain, part of a partnership with Petro-Canada, as the company launched its second annual "Give A Honk" campaign.
Petro-Canada Marketing Manager Nicole Fisher explains the campaign supports the Petro-Canada CareMakers Foundation.
Fisher says the reason for the collaboration is that a goose is the "star" of this campaign.
Mayor Melanie Pilon calls this campaign "really exciting".
Goose keychains can be bought at Petro-Canada locations across Canada for just $1 - with the purchase of 25 litres of fuel - with Petro-Canada then donating $3 to the Foundation.
The Wawa Goose will stay decked out as a keychain until the end of the month, though the "Give A Honk" campaign will continue to October 5th.
