Hornepayne Man Charged With Impaired Driving After Towing Boat With ATV

A Hornepayne man's facing impaired driving charges after a complaint of an ATV towing a boat with a passenger consuming alcohol.
Superior East Ontario Provincial Police say they received the complaint last Wednesday evening, with officers finding the ATV and driver on a gravel road just south of Hornepayne - officers determined the driver was impaired by alcohol, leading to their arrest on charges of: operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs; operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus); and two counts of operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code.
The 58-year-old's been released from custody with a future court date, though he's also been issued a 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension and the vehicle's been impounded for 45 days.
