Another COVID-19 death's been reported in the region.
Public Health Sudbury and Districts confirmed its 40th death related to the illness over the weekend, the second death in under a week.
It also added 35 cases in Greater Sudbury, another four in Sudbury District, and ten in the Manitoulin District, bringing its total to 3999, with 359 "active" - it's also showing fourteen active outbreaks, all in Greater Sudbury.
Meanwhile, Algoma Public Health added 70 cases in the Sault Ste. Marie area over the weekend and three in Central and East Algoma, bringing it to 1281 total, though the number "active" dropped to 345, with ten in hospital.
While the Porcupine Health Unit hasn't reported any new cases, it is warning of possible "high risk" exposure on a pair of flights: an Air Canada flight from Toronto to Timmins at 7 p-m last Wednesday, December 1st, and an Air Creebec flight from Moosonee to Peawanuck at 9 am last Thursday, December 2nd.
